Eduardo Jaramillo

Eduardo Jaramillo currently serves as the President of GE in Colombia and manages business development for the Andean region.

 

With over 25 years of experience, he has led companies in various sectors, including energy, health, chemistry, metals, and mining, among others. He has held positions such as President, CEO, Strategy Manager, Commercial Manager, and CFO in various countries in South America, Mexico, and the United States, working for companies such as GE, The Dow Chemical Company, Rohm and Haas Company, SCR Sibelco, among others.

 

Eduardo Jaramillo currently serves as the President of GE in Colombia and manages business development for the Andean region.

Eran Zocco
Director de Comunicaciones JA Américas

Hernán Zocco is the Director of Communications for Junior Achievement Americas. Hernán leads the communication strategy for Junior Achievement in 29 countries in the Latin America and Caribbean region.

His professional career includes over ten years working in Communications for financial sector companies in Argentina. Before joining Junior Achievement, he founded the digital marketing agency "Beautifull" and worked as a Communications consultant, leading communication projects, campaigns, and events throughout the region. Hernán holds a degree in Social Communication from the National University of Córdoba and is currently pursuing the Communications for NGOs Program at the Austral University. Since 2020, he has served as the President of the NGOs Committee in the Public Relations Council of Argentina. He is a writer, entrepreneur, and passionate about sports.

Leonardo Martellotto
Director de Desarrollo JA Worldwide

Leonardo (Leo) Martellotto is the Director of Development at JA Worldwide, the largest NGO in the region dedicated to inspiring and preparing young people, activating them for the workforce of the future. Leo leads this network and is responsible for setting the strategic direction of an organization with nearly 40,000 volunteers and more than 2,000 companies and partners throughout the region. JA Americas reaches over 1 million students in 25 countries each year in Latin America, the Caribbean, and Canada.

He exemplifies a deep commitment to JA: originally participating in the JA Business Program when he was just a young student in Córdoba, Argentina. Over time, Leo became the Executive Director of the Córdoba chapter of JA, overseeing a program that reached over 75,000 students at 60 sites, with more than 35,000 volunteers from various sponsors. During this time, he was recognized as the "Young Person of the Year" by the business magazine Punto a Punto and attended strategic leadership and management courses at Penn State.

Leo graduated from the National University of Córdoba and recently completed his Leadership Development Program at Harvard Business School, becoming an alum of Harvard in 2022. He has been featured on CNN en Español with Ismael Cala and was awarded "Latin American Entrepreneur of the Year" in 2016 by the San Ignacio de Loyola University.

Leo has participated as a panelist during the 2015 and 2016 editions of the World Economic Forum for Latin America in different sessions on "Skills Gap" and "Employment Barriers." He was interviewed in Larry C. Farrell's latest book, "The Entrepreneurial Attitude," and was included as part of JA Europe's 2019 Ferd List, recognizing successful JA alumni worldwide.

Passionate about family and sports, Leo has participated in various triathlon competitions, including 3 appearances in the Ironman 70.3 World Championship finals.

Mauricio Acevedo

Mauricio Acevedo, bilingual lawyer, specializes in commercial law and international business, with more than 25 years of experience. He has led the legal management of multinational and national companies, standing out in technology, oil, gas, and international investments.

 

Educated at the University of Los Andes, with specialization and a master's degree in Spain, he has been a Founding Partner at Acevedo & Velasco Abogados and a Partner at Sanclemente Fernández Abogados S.A. His extensive career includes roles at Lyonnaise Des Eaux Services Associés and Durán & Osorio Abogados Asociados.

 

Author of important legal publications, Acevedo is recognized for his professional commitment and his ability to solve complex legal challenges.

I am an experienced executive and former entrepreneur with extensive experience in management and marketing in Latin America and Europe, in multicultural environments. I am a skilled networker and passionate about promoting entrepreneurship and digital transformation. I possess skills in Business Development, Sales, Project Management, Growth, and Change Management.

In 2015, I drove across the Americas from Buenos Aires to Philadelphia with my family (husband and four children) by car for a year and confirmed that the wildest dreams can come true.

Peter Montes Swanson is a professor in the Department of General Management at INALDE Business School. His areas of study and interest includeCorporate Governance,Competitive Strategy, and Strategic Alliances. He has practical experience in General Management for several years. In his academic work, he has been the author and co-author of various cases related to his areas of interest.

Peter Montes Swanson, a renowned professor in the Department of General Management at INALDE Business School, is a leader in the areas of Corporate Governance, Competitive Strategy, and Strategic Alliances. With a solid trajectory, he is the author and co-author of various cases that enrich his academic work.

 

Currently, he serves as Professor Emeritus at INALDE Business School and contributes his experience as a board member in companies in the industrial, financial, and insurance sectors. His valuable contribution also extends as a business consultant, providing strategic guidance in General Management. He also has a distinguished previous career as General Director and Director of Alumni at INALDE Business School, as well as in management and consulting roles in leading private sector companies.

Miriam Herz Gerbeth

Miriam Herz Gerbeth, with more than 20 years of experience leading her family business, now dedicates herself to being a strategic mentor and actively participates in the Entrepreneurs Organization Bogotá Board, leading the Mentorship chair.

 

As a certified mentor, she provides guidance to founders and managers, focusing on data-driven strategies for better business decision-making. In the field of corporate governance, she focuses on maintaining a balance between economic and social objectives, meeting individual and community interests.

 

Miriam also excels in business networking, building relationships that benefit all parties involved. Additionally, she offers comprehensive real estate consulting services, including appraisals, management, and property buying and selling, tailoring advice to the specific needs of each client. Moreover, she has been a member of the VAB Virtual Advisory Board since 2021.

Ana Catalina Suarez Peña is a Lawyer and Master in Sustainable Development Management. Currently, she is the Senior Director of Strategy and Innovation at The Global FoodBanking Network- GFN.

 

With more than 20 years of experience, Ana Catalina excels in the administrative, financial, and legal management of organizations at the local and international levels, with an emphasis on social and food security projects. Previously, she led the regional direction for Latin America at GFN, strengthening 211 member organizations in 17 countries.

 

She is recognized for her social leadership, team leadership skills, and focus on innovation. Ana Catalina seeks a balance between work and family life and prefers structured and stable work environments. Her experience and skills position her as a key figure in international strategic management.

David Hernandéz

A lo largo de su formación profesional, se desempeñó como Especialista en Telesales en IBM, luego se desempeñó como líder de equipo de Telesales en Lenovo hasta alcanzar el puesto de Especialista de ventas en la misma empresa.

Juan Pablo Consuegra

With over 20 years of experience in the technology and business industry, Juan Pablo Consuegra serves as the Director of Google Cloud in Colombia. He leads a team focused on enabling data-based Digital Transformations and collaborates with companies to develop the cloud ecosystem. With a distinguished record at META (Facebook) and Microsoft, he possesses deep knowledge of the Latin American market. Additionally, as an expert speaker, he shares his experience on topics of Digital Transformation and Technology.

Marcela Perilla

Marcela Perilla serves as the President of the North Latin America and Caribbean Region at SAP, covering Colombia, Ecuador, Venezuela, Central America, and the Caribbean. Her primary focus is to foster the digital transformation of clients and guide them in transitioning to the cloud. She holds a degree in Systems Engineering from the University of Los Andes in Colombia, as well as an MBA from the same institution.

 

With over two decades of experience in the technology industry, Marcela has distinguished herself by driving the growth of medium and large companies in the region. Before joining SAP, she held various executive positions in companies such as Dell Technologies, IBM, and Unisys. She stands out as an advocate for women's inclusion in the STEM field, being recognized as one of "Forbes Colombia's 50 Powerful Women in 2020."

Maria Andrea Trujillo

María Andrea stands out as the founder and co-director of the Center for Corporate Governance Studies (CEGC) and the Women Leadership Initiative in Boardrooms at CESA. She is also a founding member of the Colombian Institute of Corporate Governance (ICGC). With more than twenty years of experience, she advises on the implementation of corporate governance practices and is part of the Latin American Academic Research Network on Corporate Governance for the OECD, IFC, and the World Bank.

 

As a full-time professor at the CESA Business School, María Andrea teaches corporate finance classes. She holds a doctorate and a master's degree in administration from the University of Los Andes, and a bachelor's degree in sanitary engineering from the University of Antioquia. Her research focuses on corporate governance and has been supported by the World Bank Group through the IFC, among others.

 

With her extensive experience and leadership, María Andrea significantly contributes to the development of good corporate governance practices in Colombia and Latin America.

Javier Echeverri

Javier Echeverri is a prominent leader with a strong track record in strategic management and multinational business management with over 6 years of experience in the market. He joined ManpowerGroup Colombia as the Executive CFO and was later promoted to Country Manager of the company. 

 

Before his tenure at ManpowerGroup, Javier held high-responsibility positions in leading companies such as Chiquita and Colcafé S.A.S., where he developed key skills in internal auditing and departmental management. His outstanding work and commitment to excellence have led him to be recognized as a reference in the Colombian business environment.
