Junior Achievement and Bancolombia Foundation

Thanks to the support and sponsorship of the Bancolombia Foundation, Junior Achievement Colombia has trained over 1,500 students in Ipiales, Quibdó, Apartadó, and Villavicencio in financial education through the "Cuentas Contigo" program. The main objective of this program is to introduce young people aged between 14 and 18 to proper financial management, addressing topics such as budgeting, saving, insurance, and credit.

With this initiative, Junior Achievement seeks to generate a positive impact on young people in rural areas, where educational gaps are evident due to a lack of opportunities and unfavorable social conditions. These disparities translate into challenges such as resource scarcity and limited teacher training, contributing to a precarious educational environment.

We would like to thank the following schools for allowing us to bring our content into the classroom and benefiting students and teachers with our program: San Juan, Las Lajas, El Empalme, Los Andes, La Victoria, and Los Pastos in Ipiales; El Reposo, Campo Alegre, Bartolomé Cataño Vallejo, Puerto Girón, and Churidó Pueblo in Apartadó; Antonio Ricaurte, Santa Coloma, and Mía Jorge Valencia Lozano in Quibdó; and Rural Vanguardia, Simón Bolívar, and Felicidad Barrios Hernández in Villavicencio.
